The Giants have released running back Najee Harris following an inefficient performance and postgame comments expressing frustration over the difficulty of finding a rhythm in a crowded backfield. This comes after Cam Skattebo failed to record a single carry after being relegated to a reduced role due to ongoing ball-security issues.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. led the backfield with eight touches for 45 yards and two touchdowns with Devin Singletary also mixing in. Head coach John Harbaugh acknowledged the rushing attack has fallen short of expectations, citing poor blocking and inefficiency, while challenging his backs to “go out there and take the job when you get the ball.” Harris’ release creates additional opportunities, with Tracy appearing to have the inside track after Sunday’s performance. Skattebo still offers intriguing upside if he can regain the coaching staff’s trust, but the recent personnel decisions suggest a short leash for everyone involved.
