Jacory Croskey-Merritt has been ruled out of Monday night’s game against San Francisco after aggravating a lingering groin injury and missing every practice this week.
Washington’s Week 7 bye provides additional recovery time, while Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler are positioned to share the backfield after both finished the week without a game designation despite shoulder and chest issues, respectively. Washington did not add another running backs to the active roster on Saturday.
White is the preferred FLEX option with 29 carries for 118 yards and 10 receptions through four appearances, giving him a foundation for increased rushing and receiving work. Treat Ekeler as a deep PPR league alternative and retain Croskey-Merritt on the bench through next week’s bye.
