TE Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt
Eli Stowers is a senior tight end for Vanderbilt who emerged as a legitimate offensive weapon during the 2024 season. Originally from Denton, Texas, Stowers brings an impressive physical profile to the position at 6-4 and 236 pounds. After a few years of development and position adjustment, 2024 marked his breakout campaign as he fully embraced his role in the Commodores’ passing attack.
His size, athleticism, and versatility make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. With his background as a former quarterback and experience as a ball-carrier, Stowers brings a rare skill set to the tight end position that continues to evolve.
2024
In 2024, Stowers hauled in 49 catches for 638 yards and 5 touchdowns, becoming one of the most reliable targets in Vanderbilt’s offense. His production was a clear step forward and a signal of things to come, as he showcased smooth route-running and the ability to make plays after the catch.
Though his rushing role diminished in 2024, it’s worth noting that he had 29 carries for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2023, which highlights his athleticism that makes him so dangerous in space. He’s not just a big target, but a dynamic athlete capable of creating chunk plays in multiple ways.
Draft Prospects
Heading into 2025, Stowers will be viewed by many as the potential TE1 in the 2026 NFL Draft class. His quickness, agility, and ability to turn short passes into big gains make him a true weapon after the catch.
However, to truly lock himself into that top tight end spot, he’ll need to improve his ability to win in traffic and come down with contested catches more consistently. With another strong season, Stowers could become a first-round type of prospect. The tools are all there to be a coveted tight end prospect in the NFL and fantasy football.
