Browns running back Jerome Ford will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
Jerome Ford will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Since week 7, Ford had not seen a snap share above 40% and he hasn’t finished any better than the RB28 on a given week in 2025.
Ford had some early season appeal when Quinshon Judkins was dealing with legal trouble, but that quickly evaporated once Judkins joined the team. Expect Ford to draw meager interest in the offseason in a support role to a lead back. For dynasty, Ford is best left at the back end of rosters as his best days are more than likely behind him.

Rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is good to go in his Week 10 matchup against Jets.
Rookie stud Quinshon Judkins who got injured in Week 8 is good to go this week against the depleted New York Jets. Judkins should run wild against this sup par defense after the trade moves the Jets recently made.
But there is caution to this if the Cleveland Browns are up big in this one, you may see fellow rookie Dylan Sampson get involved as well to help Judkins further injuring his shoulder.

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski says rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is day to day.
Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is day to day after suffering a shoulder injury in week eight. Judkins will have the week nine bye to rest his shoulder.
Judkins took over the Browns backfield this season, he only rushed for nineteen yards in week eight but the week prior he scored three touchdowns. Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson combined for just four touches this week, which reinforces how they’ve become just role players with Judkins on the field.
The day to day description paired with Cleveland’s bye this week paints an optimistic view on Judkins week ten outlook but Ford and Sampson are speculative adds in case this injury is worse than expected.

Quinshon Judkins scored three touchdowns on Sunday as the Cleveland Browns defeated the Dolphins 31-6
On a wet and windy day, rookie running back Quinshon Judkins recorded three touchdowns—the first Browns running back to do so since Nick Chubb in 2022. Two of the touchdowns came on direct snaps out of the Wildcat formation. Coach Kevin Stefanski said they put that in the game plan late in the week after seeing the weather forecast.
Judkins finished the day with a stat line of 25 carries for 84 yards and three touchdowns, which was more than enough for the Browns to come away victorious, as the Dolphins only scored two field goals. Judkins has been everything the Browns organization and fans wanted on the field since being selected 36th overall in the 2025 NFL draft. He is leading all rookie running backs in yardage(467) and is tied for rushing touchdowns(5). In Week 8, the Browns take on a more formidable New England Patriots defense and will once again lean on Judkins to ignite the offense.

Quinshon Judkins will miss practice Wednesday while meeting with NFL officials.
The Browns 2nd round draft pick will meet with NFL officials today. The meeting will be in relation to domestic violence charges that were eventually dropped. While legally Judkins is in the clear, this does not preclude the NFL from gathering its own investigation.
The NFL has its own personal conduct policy. Should they determine Judkins is in violation, the NFL could dole out a suspension. With this midweek development, it is difficult to envision Judkins playing Week 2.
If active for Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, Judkins will likely play in a limited fashion. Fortunately, the Browns can rely on fellow rookie Dylan Sampson. While Sampson didn’t make much noise on the ground, he caught all 8 of his targets for 64 receiving yards and 17.3 fantasy points. In the meantime, keep Judkins stashed on your bench.

Cleveland Browns’ running backs Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson figure to share touches to begin the regular season.
Heading into the 2025 season, the Cleveland Browns are expected to employ a running back by committee approach, featuring fourth-year running back Jerome Ford and fourth-round rookie Dylan Sampson. It is not yet known how the snap shares will be divided. With the 2025 second-round pick, Quinshon Judkins is still unsigned due to off-field issues, which opens up an opportunity for both players to make a case to keep their workload when Judkins makes his way onto the field.
Ford has produced 1,934 yards and 12 touchdowns over the past two seasons and averaged 5.43YPC in 2024. As the backup to Nick Chubb for multiple years, he managed to finish as the running back sixteen in full PPR formats in 2023. Dylan Sampson profiles as a running back with good vision, tempo and long speed. He has excellent contact balance and, with his thick frame, does not have an issue pushing the pile in goal-line situations. To truly become a three-down back, he will need to work on his pass catching as well as pass blocking. Both Ford and Sampson provide high upside value, according to Underdog. Sampson is drafted in the late twelfth round, while Ford is being drafted in the fifteenth.
