Omarion Hampton will miss the next 4 weeks due to an ankle injury.
The Chargers will be without rookie running back Omarion Hampton due to an ankle injury. This will be a minimum of 4 missed games with the possibility of more.
The move comes at a difficult time both for the Chargers and fantasy managers alike. In a season barraged by injury, Hamton’s in the latest blow to those rostering him. The Chargers will work to replace him with a mix of veteran Hassan Haskins and 2nd year back Kimani Vidal.
Hampton is 4th in running back receptions (20) and his 15.4 fantasy points per game ranks No.14. Much like the quandary presented by the Cardinals backfield in losing Trey Benson, the clear lead back for the Chargers may be murky. It is best to roster one or both of Haskins and Vidal until clarity shows on gamedays.

Second year Running Back Hassan Haskins was placed on IR ahead of NFL cut day, likely ending his 2023 season.
Haskins was drafted in the 4th round in 2022 by the Tennessee Titans and played sparingly as a rookie, carrying the ball 25 times for 93 yards (3.72 YPC) without scoring a Touchdown. While there was some hope he could be a valuable handcuff or potential replacement to Derrick Henry, it seems those days are fading fast.
On Wednesday, August 30th, Haskins is scheduled to appear in court for an aggravated assault by strangulation charge he is facing following a domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend back on June 30th. It’s truly unclear whether this IR placement is the result of an undisclosed injury he’s been dealing with, or if it’s related to his offseason issues in any way.
The Titans are set to roll with Henry as their early down back, and Tyjae Spears as the likely favorite to be on the field for passing down work. Haskins has now additionally been placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt list and is no longer able to be at the Titans’ facilities. Haskins has bigger issues to worry about than Football right now and can be safely dropped in all formats.
