The Atlanta Falcons’ Michael Penix Jr. may miss the rest of 2025
The Atlanta Falcons will be without quarterback Michael Penix Jr., potentially for the rest of the season, due to a knee injury. He was placed on the injured reserve following the Week 11 game against the Carolina Panthers.
If he misses the rest of the season, he will finish with 1,982 yards passing, nine touchdowns and three nterceptions. The Falcons will turn to veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins for the duration.

Michael Penix Jr. sounds like he reaggravated his knee where it cost him a game earlier this season. There is concern he will miss time, in doing so look for the Falcons to turn to Kirk Cousins until Penix Jr. is healthy. More test to come.
Drake London is set to go undergo additional test on his knee to see the severity of the injury, and if he will miss any time. Before getting injured he had seven catches for 119 yards. If he misses anytime look for bumps in Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts fantasy numbers.

Drake London and Michael Penix Jr are off the injury report and presumed good to go for Week 9 against the Patriots
The Atlanta Falcons are getting some reinforcements as Michael Penix and Drake London are both off the injury report and will be ready to take on the New England Patriots. The Falcons’ offense faltered against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8 as Kirk Cousins couldn’t get much going in the passing game, and Miami shut down Bijan Robinson.
On the season, Drake London has recorded 38 receptions for 469 yards and two touchdowns while being targeted on almost 33% of Penix’s throws. The wideout will be relied on heavily this Sunday as they face a solid run defense in the Patriots. Penix has had an up-and-down season, currently with a 61% completion rate and five passing touchdowns.

Michael Penix Jr and the Atlanta Falcons struggled mightily on Sunday, losing to the Carolina Panthers by a score of 30-0.
Sunday’s matchup against the Panthers is a game both Michael Penix Jr and the Atlanta Falcons would like to put in the rear-view mirror quickly. Penix was ineffective from the start and looked hesitant in his play, finishing 18 of 36 and 172 yards before being pulled for Kirk Cousins. Head Coach Raheem Morris stated that Penix Jr is still the starting quarterback moving forward.
The Panthers’ defense stymied the Falcons all game, which was highlighted by an interception thrown by Penix and returned for a touchdown. Running back Bijan Robinson was the lone bright spot for the Falcons, gaining 72 rushing yards and adding 39 through the air. Last season, Michael Penix Jr was effective in throwing the deep ball in Weeks 16-18; he threw for 316 yards on 15+ air yard attempts. Talent surrounds the quarterback with the likes of Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Darnell Mooney. We will see if the Falcons can rebound from an embarrassing loss in Week 4 as they take on the Washington Commanders.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is cleared to practice.
Kyle Pitts is all set and ready to go for Atlanta Falcons training camp. While he will be limited, this is a good sign for Pitts as he wasn’t able to participate in OTA’s.
Kyle Pitts has had a remarkably underwhelming career considering the amount of hype he had coming out of college. The Falcons selected Pitts 4th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. While Pitts has played 17 games in 3 of 4 seasons, he hasn’t quite been the same since his Grade 2 MCL sprain in his 2nd season.
Since his rookie season, Pitts hasn’t averaged more than 8.1 fantasy points per game in any of the last 3 seasons. He was the TE15 last season. Pitts is capable of a rare spike week as seen by his 25.1 fantasy points in week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The problem is he can only play the Buccaneers twice a season. As the TE17 on Underdog in round 13, Pitts makes sense in stacks with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. or paired with an elite tight end. Relying on Pitts is setting up for disappointment.

Falcons OC Zac Robinson talked about how his young QB brings new elements to the offense.
Following up on previous hype for Bijan Robinson and Drake London, the drum beat for the Falcons offense continues to grow louder. Atlanta offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is excited for the new avenues Michael Penix Jr. can open up for this team.
The Falcons coaching staff says they don’t plan to attempt to have Penix curtail his aggression and are actually very excited about it. The staff sees a more balanced offense benefiting everyone involved.
Bijan Robinson is a first round selection and Drake London is firmly entrenched in the early second. Both of these players success hinges on Michael Penix. It is wise to continue to invest in this offense at their current ADP.
