The Denver Broncos just secured a bowling ball of pure steak at No. 108 by drafting Jonah Coleman, a compact 220-pound back who pairs a massive 33.4 BMI (97th-percentile) with the rugged contact balance to generate 71.0-percent of his yards after contact. Coleman had a 25.8% College Dominator Rating and a 9.7% Target Share, proving he could carry the load in the backfield if called upon.
In dynasty formats, it’s an interesting landing spot that muddies the waters in the Denver backfield with JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey, but Coleman is the 4th RB off the board in the NFL draft this year. He may slide up into the 2nd round of rookie drafts.
Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey ended his rookie ...
Most fantasy managers were not thrilled about Denver Broncos...
Across 17 games as a rookie in 2025, Denver Broncos running ...
Denver re-signed JK Dobbins to lead the backfield for now. Dobbins is the ultimate meat shield paving the way for an RJ Harvey Year 2 breakout. The Dobbins signing actually makes Harvey a priority buy in dynasty leagues. Harvey’s elite receiving floor offers a massive long-term ceiling in Sean Payton’s high-volume RB system. Meanwhile Dobbins’ age and injury history have rendered him a mere dynasty throw-in.
The Denver Broncos lost the AFC Conference Championship game 10-7 against the New England Patriots. Denver already had a tall task relying on back-up quarterback Jarrett Stidham after starter Bo Nix broke his ankle last week. The first drive for Denver featured a beautiful 52 yard deep ball to Marvin Mims, followed with a touchdown to Courtland Sutton. From there, Denver could not do anything on offense. The blizzard like conditions in the second half didn’t help either offense.
Stidham finished completing 17 of 31 pass attempts for 133 passing yards for one touchdown and one interception. RJ Harvey had 13 carries for 37 rushing yards and 4 receptions for 22 receiving yards. Mims finished as the most productive reciever with 4 receptions for 62 receiving yards.
This playoff stretch was rough for rookie running back RJ Harvey. He showed so much promise throughout the season, with seven games of RB12 or higher on the week. His athletic ability is too good to ignore, now would be a good time to buy the dip in dynasty.

The Broncos have ruled out RB J.K. Dobbins for their AFC Championship clash against the New England Patriots. Dobbins is still dealing with a foot injury that he suffered in week 10 against the Raiders. Denver did open Dobbins 21-day practice window on Monday, so there is still optimism that he could make his return for the Super Bowl.
In his absence, RJ Harvey will continue to lead the Denver backfield. Harvey only managed 6 carries for 20 yards in the divisional round against Buffalo, but he still found a way to contribute as a receiver, posting 5 receptions for 46 yards.

On Sunday, Denver won a hard-fought game at home against Kansas City, but the excitement of rookie RJ Harvey fell short. Broncos fans and fantasy managers alike were expecting big things from the rookie’s first start with J.K. Dobbins on the shelf. In hindsight, maybe expectations against a strong Chiefs defense were a bit premature.
Harvey had shown flashes in limited use this season, but without leading man Dobbins on the field, the opportunity to show off why he was coach Sean Payton’s second-round draft pick (No. 60 overall) was there for the rookie to take center stage. Unfortunately, the reigning AFC champions were lying in wait and the 24-year-old was overmatched from the jump.
Harvey collected just 30 yards rushing on 11 carries (2.7 YPC) with a long of seven yards. He displayed more efficiency in the passing game, as he caught all three targets for 20 yards (6.7), but what unable to get into the painted area, neither by land nor air. In his defense, 14 touches does not a superstar make, and his 11 carries bested the 10 combined the other three ball-carriers accounted for. Jaleel McLaughlin led the group with 3.2 YPC and was the only back to score a touchdown.
Fantasy Lowdown: It was a big disappointment for fans of the team and Harvey’s fantasy managers. Better days will be ahead for the rookie, as Dobbins is set to miss the balance of the season. Harvey has two forgiving matchups (at Washington and Las Vegas) after the team’s bye, though his fantasy playoff schedule will be brutal: Green Bay, Jacksonville, @Chiefs.

JK Dobbins can’t catch a break on injuries. He has missed significant chunks of his career to various injuries. This opens the door for highly touted rookie RJ Harvey. Of course head coach Sean Payton has to allow that to happen.
JK Dobbins has been a reliable back in fantasy as a RB18 on the season. RJ Harvey’s explosiveness as a fill in back has him as RB22 on the season. Now that Harvey has an opportunity for a bigger role, we have a potential league winner on our hands. This may be your last opportunity buy Harvey before a massive breakout.
