Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid clarified the team is dealing with injuries to receivers: Xavier Worthy (head), Hollywood Brown (ankle), and Skyy Moore (hamstring).
With the Chiefs looking at a possible suspension for Rashee Rice at some point this season, news of injuries to three of their other receivers is not ideal this early in training camp. Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown are significant pieces in their offense. One or both of them could be assets for fantasy with or without Rice in the fold.
Worthy’s injury is concussion-related, and hopefully, he’ll be able to return before too long. It’s unclear the severity of Brown’s hamstring injury. We’ll see how long the 28-year-old is forced to sit out, but his long injury history is cause for concern.
I like Worthy, especially in Best Ball. I think he could be a riser as the season approaches, depending on the Rashee Rice situation. Brown is going much later. But, again, his inability to stay on the field makes me wary of drafting him even at his current ADP.

Kansas City Chiefs WR declared himself 100% healthy.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown declared himself 100% healthy. Health has been what has kept Brown from producing consistently, as he’s missed at least 3 games in 3 consecutive seasons.
Before missing 15 games in 2024, Brown had 4 consecutive seasons of at least 100 targets and 10.5 yards per reception. Brown finished as the WR22 back in 2021 with Baltimore after earning 145 targets and over 1,000 receiving yards. Brown will compete for outside snaps with Xavier Worthy. Brown is drafted outside the Top-60 of WRs, but has never finished a season where he’s played 10+ games outside of that ranking. Brown could be one of the most mispriced WRs.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says Rice is working hard to be ready for training camp.
At the spring meeting on Tuesday, Andy Reid was asked about Rashee Rice’s status for the 2025 season. Rice is rehabbing a season-ending LCL tear in Week 4 of last season after colliding with QB Patrick Mahomes. The former collided with Rice’s knee after attempting a tackle during an interception return against the Chargers. Rice is also awaiting multiple legal ramifications and an assault charge resulting from a six-car accident nearly one year ago. For now, the rehab of the LCL is the major focus of the Kansas City Chiefs.
When the Kansas City Star’s Sam McDowell asked about Rice’s ongoing recovery from the injury, head coach Andy Reid could only say: “He’s on track to be ready. We’ll see. He’s working his tail off right now, I know.” The timing of the wide receiver’s injury (Week 4) provides ample time for rehabilitation. Additionally, a torn LCL is easier to focus on than any combination of ACL, MCL, LCL tears coinciding.
The 24-year-old was drafted in the second round of the 2023 draft and showed tremendous promise as a rookie with 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. He was well on his way to easily besting those numbers last season as he already had amassed 24/288/2 as of the fourth week. Depending on his work off the field and in training camp, Rice should avoid being on any sort of snap count to start 2025, when he rejoins the returning Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and second-year pro Xavier Worthy as outside weapons for Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs are giving Marquise “Hollywood” Brown another shot in 2025 after signing him to a one-year, $11 million deal. Brown’s 2024 season was cut short due to a sternoclavicular joint injury, but he returned late and showed flashes of his big-play ability, catching 14 passes for 141 yards in the final stretch, including the playoffs. With a full offseason ahead, Brown provides a vertical threat for Patrick Mahomes and could slot in as a WR3 with upside if he’s healthy. However, his role in the offense may be limited as he competes with Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, both of whom have uncertain futures with the team.
Worthy, who was arrested on serious assault charges in Texas, and Rice, whose future was clouded by off-field issues, both face potential legal and disciplinary consequences that could affect their playing time in 2025. While Brown remains a reliable speed option for the Chiefs, the unknowns surrounding Worthy and Rice could open up opportunities for him to carve out a larger role, especially if one or both of them face suspensions. For fantasy gamers, Brown’s situation is one to watch closely, as his value could rise depending on the team’s decisions regarding their troubled receivers. If he remains in Kansas City, he’ll have the potential to be a solid contributor in a high-powered offense, but his fantasy outlook hinges on health and the shifting landscape of the Chiefs’ receiving corps.

With an early misprice in average draft position, Hollywood Brown has seen a rapid rise in draft price.
The Super Bowl has come and passed. The Kansas City Chiefs are hurting, however wide receiver Hollywood Brown’s average draft position on UnderDog is not.
On January 27th, Hollywood Brown had an ADP of 213 as the WR-85. Brown has soared up a remarkable 83 spots to 130 overall. Brown is now being drafted as the WR-60. Anytime there is a new market set, inefficiencies can be attacked with rapidity. Market mavens know how to adjust in bulk. Just ask Malcolm Gladwell.
While it was savvy to click Brown in round 18, his round 11 ADP creates more competition for player exposure. This 7 round jump is also tied to being paired with Patrick Mahomes. Drafters need to practice caution as Hollywood Brown is a free agent in 2025. Without a guarantee of where he will be in 2025, practice caution when stacking with Patrick Mahomes and fellow Chiefs players.

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown Fantasy Update: Week 16 Impact & Projections
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to make his debut for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 after two full practices. Although he has a strong track record, including six or more touchdowns in each of his seasons with the Ravens, his fantasy impact remains uncertain. Brown’s production has declined in recent years, and it’s likely his role will be more of a support piece rather than an immediate game-changer. His integration into the Chiefs’ offense will take time, and expectations should be tempered for now.
While Brown brings potential as a deep threat, his fantasy value in Week 16 is hard to gauge. Mahomes has struggled on deep passes this year, and Brown could provide a boost in that area, as well as in intermediate routes. However, with limited usage anticipated in his first game back, he might not be a must-start in fantasy championships. Though his roster percentage is low, Brown could be worth adding for depth if the Chiefs’ offense starts to click with his inclusion.
