A native of Summerville, South Carolina, Anderson began his collegiate career at Newberry College, where he amassed 3,296 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns over four seasons. He then transferred to South Carolina for the 2023 season, rushing for 707 yards and three touchdowns. In 2024, he joined Memphis, earning First-Team All-AAC honors after rushing for 1,362 yards and 18 touchdowns on 236 carries. Additionally, he caught 52 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his versatility as both a rusher and receiver.

Anderson's standout performances included a four-touchdown game against North Texas, tying a Memphis single-game rushing touchdown record, and a 177-yard effort in the Frisco Bowl against Tulane. He was named the 2025 Hula Bowl Offensive MVP after scoring the game's only offensive touchdown. Known for his low center of gravity, vision, and ability to break tackles, Anderson is projected as a late-round pick or priority free agent in the 2025 NFL Draft.
