Packers lock in organizational stability with multiyear extensions for HC Matt LaFleur and GM Brian Gutekunst.
The Green Bay Packers agreed to multiyear contract extensions with head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst, committing to their current structure. LaFleur owns a 76-40-1 regular season record and has led the Packers to the playoffs in 6 of his 7 seasons. Gutenkunst, the team’s GM since 2018, played a key role in the hiring of LaFleur and the drafting of QB Jordan Love. Team president Ed Policy cited continuity as a priority, preferring to avoid contract-year uncertainty at head coach or general manager.
LaFleur’s offense is widely respected around the league despite recent postseason frustrations, and Jordan Love has shown that he can operate effectively within it. Love’s 2025 fantasy season was an inconsistent, unreliable roller-coaster ride, and fantasy players should expect more of the same in 2026.

The Green Bay Packers are meeting with head coach Matt LaFleur to discuss a contract extension.
The Green Bay Packers were all in on this season with the big trade for pass rusher Micah Parsons, then he tore his ACL and the offense faltered down the stretch. This led to a lot of rumbling that head coach Matt LaFleur was on the hot seat. Despite the rumors the Packers brass has publicly stated they want to extend LaFleur who under contract through the 2026 season. It takes two to tango, so both sides need to come to an agreement.
The Packers retaining Matt LaFleur will be best for quarterback Jordan Love, who finished as QB15 for 2025, despite missing a few games due to injury. The Packers are a very efficient offense, and very young across the board. Maintaining consistency is the best path for success for this team.

Days leading up to the season’s rubber match with the Bears, Josh Jacobs, Jordan Love, and others have gotten healthy at the right time for the Green Bay Packers
Green Bay had been battling injuries across the board to close out the regular season. It appears the team has turned the corner in that respect, especially from the two most important skill players on the roster. Running back Josh Jacobs and quarterback Jordan Love have no reported limitations for Saturday night’s first-round playoff matchup when the Packers invade Chicago to do battle with the No. 2 seed and division rival Bears.
Jacobs, who has been battling a nagging knee injury all season, managed just 28 combined carries in Weeks 15-17, but got a full rest with other starters in Week 18. “My body coming into this game is the best I’ve felt probably in the last six weeks,” Jacobs said. “So it’s a pretty good situation to be in.” Meanwhile, Jordan Love is a week removed from clearing concussion protocol. He sustained the concussion and exited Week 16 early before missing Week 17. Love cleared league protocol before the team’s Week 18 affair, but was held out along with others to be ready for Saturday. Neither he nor Jacobs carries any injury designation for the game.
Green Bay is currently favored by 1.5 points for the matchup at Soldier Field.

In a rough night for the Green Bay Packers Josh Jacobs was the lone bright spot on Monday night, scoring the only touchdown.
The Green Bay Packers struggled on offense on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles but Josh Jacobs found the endzone. Jacobs finished with 107 scrimmage yards in addition to the touchdown.
Jordan Love only had 158 passing yards and no pass catcher had more than 45 receiving yards. Christian Watson led the Packers with 45 receiving yards, no else reached 40.
The Packers have a deep wide receiver rotation but no one really stepped up tonight, Josh Jacobs is the safest Packer going forward.

The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys battle to thrilling 40-40 tie.
Both offenses in the Packers and Cowboys game were firing on all cylinders as Packers and Cowboys treated fans to a shootout that ended in a rare 40-40 tie. Both teams traded big plays throughout the night, with explosive passing attacks and timely ground gains keeping the scoreboard busy. Neither defense could find the answer to slow down the opposing quarterbacks, and when the final whistle blew in overtime the score remained locked. While it wasn’t the outcome either side had hoped for, the game showcased the offensive firepower of both teams.
On the Packers side Jordan Love threw for season high 337-yards while tossing 3 touchdowns to go with it. He finished as QB 6 on the week which is his highest finish so far this season. Josh Jacobs led the team on the ground and also in the passing game. On the ground he had 86 yards and two scores, while in caught 4 passes for 71 yards as well making him as the RB 2 this week. This too is his highest finish, overall, he is currently RB 8 on the year heading into Packers bye week. Romeo Doubs didn’t have just one, not two, but three touchdowns. He had 6 catches for 58 yards, making him finish as WR 3 on the week.
Now, for the Cowboys the number 1 quarterback of the week belongs to Dak Prescott. He passed for 319 yards with 3 scores, also had a 2-yard rushing touchdown too. Reformed Javonte Williams led the team on the ground rushing for 85 yards and a score; he also caught his 3 targets for 15 yards too. While Doubs was WR 3 on the week, Cowboys had a guy who finished ahead of him George Pickens seen 11 targets and caught 8 of them for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He was WR 2 on the week, he stepped up for the Cowboys while star receiver Ceedee Lamb missed this week with an injury.
While the Packers are headed into their bye week we will have to wait to see them back on the field. Meanwhile Cowboys head to New York to take on the Jets.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had surgery on his thumb. The hope is to return for week 1 of the season.
Green Bay fans held their collective breath when hearing that quarterback Jordan Love will miss the rest of the preseason with a thumb injury that requires surgery. Lucky thing is that it is his non-throwing hand. The injury may be a nuisance for Love but it should not affect his ability to throw the football. GM Brian Gutekunst has stated he should return for week 1 of the regular season. Injuries have hampered Love’s time as a starter. The hope is he can stay healthy enough to take this Packers offense to another level with the addition of rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden.
Jordan Love is still a valuable fantasy quarterback and this injury should have no impact on his outlook. He has the potential to be a top 5 fantasy quarterback as he did in 2023. It is easy to forget this will only be his 3rd season as a full time starter. He is a steal at QB17, be sure to grab him before someone else does.
