Jarquez Hunter Bio

Jarquez Hunter, born on December 29, 2002, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, is a 5-foot-9-inch, 204-pound running back who played for the Auburn Tigers from 2021 to 2024. A graduate of Neshoba Central High School, Hunter was named Mr. Football in Mississippi during his senior year. He committed to Auburn over offers from Mississippi State and Iowa. Throughout his collegiate career, Hunter demonstrated consistent growth and impact on the field. In his senior year (2024), he achieved First-Team All-SEC honors, ranking fourth all-time among Auburn rushers with 3,371 career rushing yards and 25 rushing touchdowns.

Hunter is recognized for his agility and burst, effectively making defenders miss with his lateral quickness and decisive running style. However, his frame is considered lean, and he has faced challenges in pass protection and route running, which may require development at the professional level. Projected as a late Day 2 pick, Hunter's combination of vision, burst, and big-play ability positions him as a dynamic complement in an NFL backfield, with the potential to grow into a featured role.
