Joe Burrow expected to miss at least 3 months after successful toe surgery.
The Cincinnati Bengals find themselves in familiar territory as Burrow is set to miss extended time after toe surgery. With Burrow out the Bengals will turn to Jake Browning, someone also in familiar territory after Burrow went down at the end of the 2023 season.
Browning, who’s been with the Bengals the last three seasons, has proven he can get it done at the NFL level when he took over the helm the last time Burrow was out. In 2023 Browning finished as a top 10 QB 5 of his 7 starts throwing for over 300 yards in three of those games. The offense shouldn’t see much of a dip in their production and given how poorly their defense is Browning will have plenty of opportunities to provide fantasy relevance.
Tee Higgins becomes a target in trades as some of your leagues mates may start to panic and try to unload due to the Burrow injury and you should take advantage of that before its too late!

Bengals Star Quarterback Joe Burrow out for the year with wrist injury.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ turbulent year took a dire turn on Thursday night as superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a wrist injury, necessitating season-ending surgery for ligament tears. This marks Burrow’s second season-ending surgery in his relatively brief career.
The impact of Burrow’s injury resonates across football enthusiasts, particularly Cincinnati and fantasy fans. Beginning the season with a calf injury that hindered his performance and affected his offensive counterparts, Burrow’s resurgence had a positive ripple effect. Ja’Marr Chase reclaimed his elite-drafted WR status, and even the struggling Tee Higgins experienced spike weeks alongside Burrow. However, with Burrow sidelined, the team turns to Jake Browning.
