Carson Beck is a quarterback and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes after spending five seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Beck joined Georgia as a four-star recruit in the 2020 class, redshirted his first season, and spent two years as the backup to Stetson Bennett before winning the starting job in 2023. In his first year as a starter, he led Georgia to a 13-1 record, throwing for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns while completing 72.4 percent of his passes. He returned for the 2024 season and posted 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns before suffering a UCL tear in his throwing elbow during the SEC Championship Game, requiring surgery that ended his season. Beck transferred to Miami ahead of the 2025 season and guided the Hurricanes to a 13-2 record, a College Football Playoff berth, and a spot in the National Championship Game, where he threw for 232 yards in a 27-21 loss to Indiana. Over three seasons as a starter, Beck compiled a 37-6 record and was part of two national championship teams at Georgia.
Standing at 6-4 and 233 pounds, Beck has the prototypical size and frame NFL teams look for in a starting quarterback. He operates with good pocket presence and is at his best on quick, rhythmic throws underneath and over the middle, where a clean release and career completion percentage of nearly 70 percent reflect his accuracy in the short and intermediate areas of the field. His processing and ability to deliver on time against zone coverage are genuine strengths, and he has shown poise managing offenses against high-level competition in both the SEC and ACC. Concerns about his decision-making under pressure, inconsistency on deep balls, and durability following elbow surgery have tempered his stock, and most evaluators project him as a Day 2 pick with upside as a game-managing starter or reliable backup in the right system.
