Cameron Latu Bio

Cameron Latu committed to Alabama as a four-star recruit as a member of their 2018 recruiting class. Originally recruited as a defensive end, the 6-5 236 pound recruit had to work his way up to a starring role by playing special teams. Latu earned a starting role in 2021 and set an Alabama record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end with eight, breaking Irv Smith’s previous record of seven in 2017.

In addition to setting an Alabama record for single season touchdown receptions by a tight end, Latu played all five years for Alamaba including his freshman season where he played in two games against Louisville and Arkansas. In 2022, Latu put up 30 receptions for 377 yards and caught four touchdown passes.
