The all purpose running back from UNC will be at the top of dynasty rookie drafts after his name gets called in Green Bay.
Ashton Jeanty is getting much deserved hype as the No.1 overall running back of the 2025 class. After him, there are a tier of eligible running backs who can take the mantle as the 2nd best running back in the class.
One of those running backs is North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton. Hampton is 6’ tall and 220 pounds. His muscular frame and body composition is similar to Jonathan Taylor. Hampton offers rushing and receiving which will make him a three down back in the NFL.
Omarion Hampton had 0 fumbles during his time at UNC. Hampton is projected to test somewhere in the 4.4 range for the 40-yard dash. Some teams that should be interested include the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Chargers. Hampton projects as a day 2 pick and will be an early 1st round pick in superflex dynasty rookie drafts.

The Heisman runner-up will be sought after by several running back needy teams in 2025.
The Heisman finalist and runner-up will be a hot name throughout the entire NFL draft process. Ashton Jeanty melted faces throughout the 2024 college season. Considered a mere formality, it is now reality that Jeanty will head to the NFL.
Ashton Jeanty had 374 carries, 2,601 rushing yards, and an eye-popping 29 touchdowns in 2024. He added 23 receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown in the receiving game. Jeanty has a 3 down skill set with elite contact balance and field vision that plays out beautifully on his longer runs. Expect Jeanty to enter the top-5 running back discussion in dynasty once he has a formal team.
There will be a plethora of NFL teams ready to select Jeanty in April’s draft. The larger team building exercise that will take place between general managers and coaches will be whether to use early draft capital on Jeanty or to wait until later in the draft as the running back class is very deep. While Jeanty’s landing spot is unknown, mock draft season has teams like the Bears, Cowboys, Saints, Vikings, and Browns all being interested in the elite running back.
