Xavier Legette Flashes Potential at 2024 NFL Combine
4 months ago

The former South Carolina wideout showed why he could be a potential steal on Day 2 of April’s NFL Draft.

Standing at 6’1’’ and weighing in at 221 pounds, Xavier Legette sizes up fairly well. The South Carolina native only bettered his cause with a blistering 4.39-second 40-yard dash and a vertical jump of 40 inches. Renowned for his strength and contested-catch ability, Legette proved to be a reliable safety blanket for fellow combine prospect Spencer Rattler and the Gamecocks offense in 2023. With strong hands, a knack for the spectacular, and terrific straight-line speed, Legette figures to make an impact on an NFL roster – and your fantasy team – as early as this coming fall.

While Xavier Legette struggles at times against press coverage and isn’t exactly the most polished route runner, he can become a reliable backup and eventual starter with the right coaching. Having also shown explosiveness in broad jumping ten-and-a-half feet, Legette cannot be overlooked by fantasy managers in all formats, particularly in dynasty leagues. This past season was Legette’s first amassing over 30 targets, so there isn’t a lot of tread on his tires, either.
