Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is expected to be a full participant once training camp begins.
Coach Andy Reid is expecting wide receiver Rashee Rice to be a full participant once training camp opens up. Rice suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 last season. He dominated at the beginning of the season having 24 catches for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was on pace to have a breakout sophomore season which would have ended up with 102 catches for 1,224 yards and 8 touchdowns. This would have had Rice finish as wide receiver 9. Unfortunately, he attempted to make a tackle on an incepted pass and Patrick Mahomes hit Rice in the knee causing the injury.
Rashee Rice is a high-ceiling mid-round pick, anywhere from the early 3rd round to 4th. His upside makes him a potential league-winner, but the legal situation adds uncertainty that may depress his ADP. For now, though it sounds like he should be healthy to begin the season.
