Tyreek Hill
Andy Reid: Tyreek Hill Not on Chiefs Radar
1 day ago

Amidst rumblings of where the recently released Tyreek Hill could find his next home, Andy Reid of the Chiefs gave no indications of pursuit

Tyreek Hill, who starred with the Kansas City Chiefs for six seasons from 2016-2021, was released this week by the Miami Dolphins as they embark upon what appears to be a drastic overhaul of their roster. Speculation has run rampant as to where Hill may play in 2026, with the most popular destination among fans and media alike pointing directly to his old stomping grounds in Kansas City.

Hill started out catching passes from Alex Smith in KC before the transition to all-world quarterback Patrick Mahomes in 2018. During his time with the Chiefs, Hill was named to the Pro Bowl every season, earned All-Pro honors three times, and played in two Super Bowls, winning one in 2020. The Georgia native amassed 479 catches for 6,630 yards while carrying a 13.8 average per reception and adding 62 all-purpose touchdowns.

Injuries have been tracking the 31-year-old in the last two seasons. In 2024, he battled painful wrist and knee injuries and did not look like himself. Then, in Week 4 of 2025, a devastating knee dislocation with multiple torn tendons (including the ACL) forced him out for the rest of the season.

That seemed to be the impetus of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid this week when asked on Friday about the possibility of a reunion with the wideout. “I don’t even know if Tyreek is healthy right now to do anything. I’m sure he’s working hard on that part of it  and trying to get all that straightened out… we know what you know.”

Fantasy lowdown: Suffice it to say, if Hill completes his rehab and is ‘ready to go,’ Kansas City could be the first in line for his services. Hollywood Brown is set to turn 29 before the season and is headed to free agency. Xavier Worthy suffered a significant regression in 2025. Travis Kelce is not getting younger, and Rashee Rice is back in the midst of legal troubles. Every indication is that Mahomes will be ready to start the season, but he may have a new-look arsenal.
