Nick Chubb
Two Texans Running Backs Are Rising on Underdog
4 months ago

After Joe Mixon’s injury news, Texans running backs Nick Chubb and Woody Marks are rising on Underdog.

The news of Texans running back Joe Mixon having a foot injury is making waves in draft rooms. With best ball in full swing and redraft season right around the corner, drafters are opting to fade Joe Mixon as he has now been placed on the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list.

What is scary about Mixon’s status is that he will be re-evaluated closer to the beginning of the season. That doesn’t sound like someone who will return anytime soon. As the timeline is murky and unclear, fellow backfield mates Nick Chubb and rookie Woody Marks are rising on Underdog. In the last week, Chubb has risen 23.3 spots into the middle of round 14 while Marks has risen 15.8 spots into the middle of round 17.

Naturally, Mixon has seen his ADP drop 14.3 spots to the late 5th round. Expect this to continue further as the calendar creeps closer to Week 1. While Chubb and Marks are the evident winners via opportunity, it would be wise to practice caution as the Texans may acquire another running back. The Texans backfield is subtly lining up to be a messy backfield for fantasy football.
