New England continues to build talent on offense by selecting the second Ohio State running back in the second round of 2025.
TreVeyon Henderson earns good draft capital and a very interesting landing spot in New England. While initially in a split backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson (who the team just extended last year), the longer term outlook is very positive. The Patriots are heavily investing in their franchise quarterback, shoring up their O-line with a premier 1st round pick and trading for Stefon Diggs in free agency.
The PlayerProfiler analytics team has an initial projection of a 39% rush share for Henderson in 2025 — good for approximately 800 yards on the ground, with another 30 catches for about 200 yards and roughly 6 touchdowns. The two backs may be in a dreaded hot hand situation initially, but IF Rhamondre Stevenson misses time or continues to fumble, Henderson could catapult into a top back sooner rather than later.
