Rookie tight end suffers foot injury in loss to Cowboys
Giants’ rookie tight end Theo Johnson suffered a foot injury in the Giants’ tilt with the Cowboys Thursday. Johnson played 89-percent of snaps and earned five targets in the 27-20 loss to Dallas. The Penn State product has been the Giants’ primary tight end for the 2024 season, playing 83.4-percent (No. 8) of snaps on the season and earning 43 targets (No. 4 on the team).
In what has been a disappointing season for the Giants, Johnson has showed some promising flashes as a pass catcher and offensive weapon, recording 11.5 (No. 8) Yards Per Reception. Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed in a post-game press conference that Johnson’s injury is “probably gonna be a long-term one.”
