C.J. Stroud
Texans Serving up Turnovers like it's a Bakery

The Texans turnovers doom Houston in their playoff loss against the New England Patriots.

The Houston Texans season ended in disappointment against the New England Patriots in their Divisional Playoff matchup 28-16.

C.J. Stroud was picked off times during the game, this was the most he has ever thrown in a single game, putting the Texans in a deep hole early.  One of those picks was returned for a touchdown that helped swing momentum in New England’s favor.  Stroud finished with 212 yards passing and one touchdown to go along those four interceptions.  He was missing his top receiver Nico Collins, who suffered a concussion in last week’s game.  Rookie Jayden Higgins tried filling Collins shoes, leading the team in receiving with six receptions and 59 yards.  Running the ball also was bad for the Texans offense.  Woody Marks had 14 carries for just 17 yards; he had a costly fumble too.

Houston now faces scrutiny heading into the offseason, as ball security and decision making emerge as central concerns.  Stroud could potentially sign an extension this offseason, but will his turnovers in high pressure games cost him?  Stay tune for the Texans offseason moves.
