Taliese Fuaga
Taliese Fuaga Selected by New Orleans Saints with the 14th Overall Pick

The former Oregon State standout adds some much-needed protection in front of Derek Carr.

Standing at a towering 6’6” and weighing in at 334 pounds, former Oregon State Beavers standout left tackle Taliese Fuaga is a physically imposing force. He rarely puts himself in bad positions and tends to maul the opponent’s defensive linemen, striking fear into opponents. Behind Fuaga’s sound play up front, Oregon State enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in years — ranking as high as #10 in the AP poll before fading during the latter weeks.

After leaving school following a productive junior season in Corvallis, Fuaga projects as a day-one starter as an NFL-ready prospect. Originally mocked as a borderline top-ten selection, Fuaga has drawn comparisons to Penei Sewell — the Detroit Lions Pro Bowler who has cemented himself as a top offensive lineman in the league. Despite lacking the raw talent and athleticism some of the other tackle prospects possess, Fuaga is technically sound and projects as an instant upgrade on an extremely thin and aging Saints offensive line.
