Cam Skattebo skipped the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Cam Skattebo unexpectedly skipped the Senior Bowl, allegedly due to an increased focus on the NFL draft.
The Arizona State running back was a full-blown workhorse for the Sun Devils in 2024, averaging 22.5 carries per game in 2024. Skattebo put up the second 1,300-yard rushing season of his collegiate career in 2024, while also rushing for 17 TDs. His 81 missed tackles forced ranked no. 3 in the nation, only behind Ahmad Hardy and Ashton Jeanty. Skattebo ranked no. 5 among all running backs with 468 receiving yards, and no. 2 in the class only behind LeQuint Allen from Syracuse.
Skattebo’s failure to appear at the Reece’s Senior Bowl didn’t move his stock down much– only about 4 spots. Skattebo continues to mock in the mid-third round. Landing spot and draft capital will play a major part in whether Skattebo becomes fantasy relevant, however his tape shows strength and power, which should translate well to the NFL. Skattebo will most like land as a mid-2nd round rookie dynasty fantasy pick.
