The veteran QB put it plain and simple when he said “I came here because of him”, also calling the young WR special.
Russell Wilson recently revealed that one of the key factors behind his decision to join the New York Giants this offseason was the chance to play alongside Malik Nabers. Wilson had previously admitted he watched film on Nabers and is convinced (correctly) that he’s a ‘Superstar”. The veteran QB believes that with Nabers as his primary target, the pair could develop a potent on‑field connection, and lets face it, Nabers could be the best weapon Wilson has ever thrown to.
From a fantasy football standpoint, this pairing boosts Nabers’s value even higher for the 2025 season. After finishing as WR6 in fantasy last year with record breaking reception totals (109 receptions, 1,204 yards, 7 TDs), Nabers now benefits from Wilson’s experienced arm and proven chemistry with top receivers. While Wilson projections are all over the place, his presence should lead to an uptick in Nabers’s targets and big‑play opportunities – at the very least he should be better than any of the passers Nabers had last season.
