Rodgers Expected to Retire After 2025 Season
2 weeks ago

Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee show and announced that 2025 will be his final season.

This was not surprising given that Rodgers signed to a strictly structured one year deal. While he has been a story of much off field controversy spanning the last few years, Rodgers was one of the top passing stat padders in 2024. With the NY Jets team in complete disarray, especially with a failing defense, Rodgers had to throw significantly above expectation.

Now, Rodgers moves to a storied franchise in Pittsburgh with a future Hall of Fame coach in Mike Tomlin, but not much else in the way of offensive weapons outside of DK Metcalf. There is uncertainty at the WR2 position, the general manager has alluded to trying to find another receiver, and there have been trade rumors abounding. The combination of Rodgers pace of play and the run heavy approach implemented by Arthur Smith spells Fantasy disaster for Rodgers swan song season.
