RJ Harvey Boosts His Stock at the Senior Bowl
1 week ago

After a good week of practice, RJ Harvey displayed his arm talent with a 25-yard touchdown pass in the Senior Bowl.

In a deep running back class, RJ Harvey entered the Senior Bowl hoping to boost his NFL draft stock. Harvey is projected on the Pro Football Focus Big Board 2025 with a rank of 99 which would make him an early day 3 pick in round 4 of the NFL Draft. On Saturday, Harvey displayed a unique skill which will certainly draw interest from NFL teams.

Harvey has big play ability and is very efficient in his footwork. His lateral agility in tight spaces show on film as he wastes very little time in cutting and accelerating upfield. In the Senior Bowl, Harvey displayed his expansive skill set by throwing a 25-yard touchdown pass. Harvey did play quarterback in high school and was known for his dual-threat ability.

At UCF, Harvey took many direct snaps when the offense was inside the 5-yard line. Harvey is trustworthy with the ball in his hands. His 22 touchdowns in 2024 shows he will be a desirable weapon for NFL offenses. According to PFF, Harvey was tied for 13th with a very nice 69 missed tackles forced in 2024.

As far as draft landing spot, Harvey will be the perfect complement to a 2 down grinder back. The Chargers and Vikings come to mind as running back needy teams. A sneaky spot would be for RJ Harvey to land in Jacksonville with the Jaguars as a 3rd down back to Tank Bigsby with Travis Etienne leaving in a trade. In the meantime, dynasty rookie mock drafts abound for rookie speculation.
