Ricky Pearsall was shot in the chest and had the bullet exit through his back without hitting any vital organs.
Pearsall was in San Francisco for a signing event when a 17-year old attempted to rob Pearsall for his Rolex. Pearsall defended himself and there was a struggle for the firearm, resulting in both Pearsall and the suspect getting shot. The suspect was arrested and both were taken to the hospital. Pearsall was released a day later after being labeled in “stable but serious” condition shortly after the shooting.
Being the victim to a gunshot wound means Pearsall will need multiple weeks to recover before stepping onto a football field. Pearsall was placed on the NFI list to start the year and will miss at least the first 4 weeks of the season recovering. Fantasy Managers should adjust their plans and avoid Pearsall in redraft formats.
