Rashid Shaheed has bulked up to 190 pounds this offseason, but says he hasn’t lost any of his trademark speed.
Rashid Shaheed started 2024 ablaze with at least 15 points in four of his first five games. People may not remember, but he was catching bombs from Derek Carr, and the team had a top-5 passing offense in the league. Their season was quickly dismantled by injury, and Shaheed missed week 7 onward with a knee sprain.
Although New Orleans seems to have an uphill battle towards success in 2025, Shaheed figures to be the one guy who can take the top off the defense. I like the way he profiles a lot more now that he’s put on an extra 10 pounds. Hopefully, he’ll continue to showcase his 4.3 speed and keep his body healthy throughout the season. He’ll be a nice boom or bust option each week, at the very least, and has the talent to work his way into WR3 territory and beyond. Not bad, considering his ADP currently sits in the 150s.
