Rasheen Ali Battling for Ravens Backup RB Role
2 months ago

Fifth-round draft pick Rasheen Ali looks to take advantage of Keaton Mitchell’s absence (ACL) during Ravens training camp.

Mitchell suffered a torn ACL in week 15 last season and will likely miss significant time during the preseason. With Mitchell temporarily out of the picture, Ali can seize control of Baltimore’s backup running back role behind Derrick Henry. His primary competition will be against veteran tailback Justice Hill, who’s never topped 400 yards in a season.

Ali was productive at Marshall, tallying over 3,000 yards from scrimmage and 42 touchdowns in 34 games. Recent injuries plummeted his draft stock, including a ruptured bicep tendon at the Senior Bowl. Now recovered from his most recent injury, Ali’s attention shifts to making a name for himself in training camp. He’s an interesting stash in dynasty formats and worth monitoring in redraft leagues if Henry misses any time.
