It’s hard to say if the Chiefs would be in the Super Bowl if it wasn’t for Rice taking a huge step forward in the middle of the season and becoming a trusted weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
It is widely known that the Kansas City Chiefs have one of the weakest wide receiver cores in the league. However, in his rookie season, Rice has already exceeded draft expectations.

At this early stage of Rice’s career, if he were to win a Super Bowl in his first year, it would provide a stronger argument why the Chiefs should not consider acquiring another wide receiver for the WR1 position in 2024, either through free agency or the NFL draft, to compete with Rice.
