Rashard Higgins & Christian Kirksey Retiring as Browns
2 weeks ago

Rashard Higgins and Christian Kirksey sign a one-day contract to retire as Cleveland Browns.

Rashard Higgins was selected by the Browns in the fifth round in 2016. “Hollywood” Higgins played across six seasons where he accumulated 137 receptions with 1,890 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was well loved by his teammates and the community of Cleveland. Higgins was a great receiving option for Baker Mayfield and helped Cleveland become a playoff team in 2020. It was great to see him come back to Cleveland to retire and finish his NFL career as a Brown.

Christian Kirksey was selected by the Browns in the third round in 2014. He accumulated 463 tackles, 11.5 sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in his six seasons. Kirksey was a captain on the team for his final three seasons there before moving onto Green Bay (2020) and Houston (2021-2022). Kirksey had been named Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year for both the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and for the Houston Texans in 2022. A very highly touted and honored award many players achieve while serving their communities.
