The Las Vegas Raiders star tight end Brock Bowers was placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
With the Las Vegas Raiders eliminated from playoff contention, the team has decided to shut down their star tight end in Brock Bowers’ season by placing him on injured reserve.
Bowers suffered a PCL injury back in week 1, but played through the injury for 3 weeks before missing the next 3 week to let the injury heal. He clearly was not effective as a player during those 3 weeks catching only 14 passes for 124 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Bowers was able to be productive for the rest of the season finishing with 64 catches, 680 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns in 12 games. It pales in comparison to his rookie season last year when he had 112 catches for 1,194 receiving yards, 5 touchdowns in 17 games.
Bowers is still a top 5 tight end option for 2026, hopefully the offense can be a little better next season to help take some of the attention away from him.
