Matthew Stafford Will Take Time to Decide Football Future
3 weeks ago

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is mulling his options to play or not next season in which be his 17th year in the league.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has earned the right to decide how he will continue his future. After toiling away for 12 years in Detroit, Stafford was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and won the Super Bowl in his first year with the team. He will be 37 years old heading into next year and is under contact through 2026 with Rams. When asked if he still has some football in Stafford replied “sure feels like it,” all signs point towards him making another run with the Rams for the 2025 season.

Stafford’s days as a high end fantasy quarterback may be behind him. He is still serviceable as a superflex option. He finished as QB18 on the season, although it didn’t help he did not have his top weapons healthy for the entire season.  If WRs Puka Nucua, Cooper Kupp and TE Higbee are healthy for entire season, Stafford could flirt with a top 10 finish in Fantasy.
