Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford Get More Guarantees on Contract
1 month ago

Quarterback Matthew Stafford was looking for more security on his current contract.

Future Hall of Famer Matthew Stafford was seeking more guaranteed money on his existing contract, which he signed after winning the 2022 Super Bowl for the Los Angeles Rams. Since then, multiple quarterbacks have been signed to deals that soar past Stafford’s $40 million per year average. Despite some injury issues in the two seasons since, Stafford play level is still top ten. The Rams and Stafford agreed to an additional $5 million for the 2024 season and an additional $4 million guaranteed roster bonus for 2025. Stafford is not going anywhere for the near future.

Matthew Stafford has been a very reliable quarterback in fantasy since teaming up with Sean McVay. He still has the cannon arm and supernatural no-look passes in his arsenal, being a cerebral point guard of the entire offense. Despite missing two games last season and emphasis on running the ball more, Stafford still finished as QB15 on the season. Stafford’s ADP is currently QB19, which is an absolute steal in all formats.
