After head coach Ben Johnson shared his sentiments on rookie wideout Luther Burden, the Bears 2nd round pick has been falling on Underdog.
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson is not happy with rookie wide receiver Luther Burden. In a press conference last week, Johnson expressed frustration with Burden not being out with his teammates and building the trust and rapport needed as an incoming rookie.
It is also very interesting that Burden and the Bears have not come to an agreement for a contract. With rookie contracts being rather uniform, the hang up seems to involve language in the contract regarding guaranteed money.
The fallout over the last week has caused Burden to have fallen 7.6 spots on Underdog from late round 9 into the middle of round 10. It is very easy to select quarterback Caleb Williams who goes at the 9-10 turn in tandem with Burden. Burden is looking like an early stay away candidate in redraft leagues, while presenting some value for portfolio best ball drafters.
