Luther Burden Goes Off In Loss

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden had one of his best games of the season in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chicago Bears lost a shootout, 42-38, to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football but rookie wide receiver Luther Burden showed why he was a 2nd round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Burden led the team with eight receptions, 138 yards and a score.

This is the third straight game with at least 60 receiving yards for Burden as he’s made himself an integral part of the Bears passing attack. Burden has 44 receptions, 617 yards and two touchdowns this year.

Ben Johnson has the Chicago offense firing on all cylinders right now and Burden has been proving himself, expect Burden to be a focal point of the Bears offense in 2026.
