The Detroit Lions selected wide receiver Dominic Lovett from Georgia in the seventh round (No. 245 overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Detroit Lions selected wide receiver Dominic Lovett from Georgia in the seventh round (No. 245 overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.  Known for his quickness and route-running precision, Lovett posted a 4.41-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, showcasing his speed and agility.

Prior to his time at Georgia, Lovett had a standout 2022 season at Missouri, leading the team with 56 receptions for 846 yards.  In 2024, he stepped up as Georgia’s primary receiver, recording 59 catches for 607 yards and six touchdowns, leading the Bulldogs in all three categories.

Lovett’s transition to the NFL presents both opportunities and challenges.  While his speed and route-running ability are assets, his size and physicality may pose challenges against NFL defenses.  His immediate fantasy impact will likely be limited, but he could develop into a reliable slot receiver over time.  In dynasty leagues, Lovett is a potential sleeper pick, especially if he can secure a consistent role in the Lions offense.
