Joshua Simon Shows Out a NFL Combine

Joshua Simon may have used the NFL Combine to work himself in to the conversation as a top 5 TE in the 2025 rookie class.

South Carolina TE Joshua Simon showed off smooth athleticism at the NFL Combine. With a less than ideal draft age and not a lot of college production, the 6’4″, 239 lb prospect needed to show off his athleticism, and he certainly delivered. Simon logged the 3rd highest top speed at 21.67 MPH, and the 2nd fastest shuttle, and impressed during the route drills with the fastest corner route speed. With long-speed and short-space agility, Simon showed he can be a productive Big Slot style TE in the NFL.

Simon has had a long journey to the NFL. He wasn’t showcased during a 4-year stint at Western Kentucky, transferred to South Carolina and, again, wasn’t an elite producer over two seasons there. The athleticism and lack of production make him a sleeper candidate and solidify him as a back end dynasty rookie pick with potential to outperform his ADP.
