Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs To Sign With Green Bay; Aaron Jones to be Released
10 months ago

The Green Bay Packers have agreed to a deal to sign former Raiders RB Josh Jacobs.

Josh Jacobs was a fan favorite in Las Vegas. After the 2023 regime change and the hiring of Antonio Pierce, fans hoped that Jacobs would re-sign with the team, and maybe finish his career as a Raider. That hope is dead. Josh Jacobs is signing with the Green Bay Packers.

Jacobs, a former 1st Rd pick, will be entering his age 26 season and coming off of two very different seasons. Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022, and in 2023, the often banged-up back missed the first significant playing time with an injury. Jacobs was out for the final 4 games last season, opening the door for Zamir White to take over the RB1 duties. This, after a training camp holdout led to speculation that he started the 2023 season but “wasn’t ready.” Jacobs should be the lead back in Green Bay.

In corresponding news, the Packers’ talks in an attempt to bring back Aaron Jones broke down and Jones will now be released. Jones is another back who missed significant time in 2023 with an injury.
