With a July 23rd start, Joe Mixon is expected to be ready for training camp.
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon is expected to be ready for the start of training camp on July 23rd. There has been some concern over his foot and ankle which haven’t been helped by the signing of Nick Chubb and the drafting of USC’s Woody Marks.
The good news for Mixon heading into 2025 is that last season he was 5th in opportunity share at 77.7% and 9th in fantasy points per game at 17.2. Unfortunately, Mixon showed signs of slowing down late last season as he finished from the RB27-RB52 in the final 4 weeks.
Mixon will soon be 29 and is an asset to sell in dynasty before he falls off from his prime. Nick Chubb will take away some series on gameday and Wood Marks is a natural fit for the passing down role and hurry up offense. He goes in round 5 on Underdog right behind Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Broncos running back RJ Harvey. At ADP, there are several other better options considering the direction Mixon is headed in.
