Jaydon Blue Runs Second Fastest Among RBs at 2025 NFL Combine
3 weeks ago

Jaydon Blue measured smaller than expected but still solidified himself as one of the most electric running backs in the 2025 draft class at the NFL Combine.

Jaydon Blue is the next Longhorn running back up in a seemingly endless pool of NFL talent. While Blue always struggled to be the lead back on teams that had players like Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Brooks, Quintrevion Wisner, and CJ Baxter, he’s always shown the ability to break a long run at any given time. Size certainly factored into why he wasn’t leaned on more in college, as he measured in at only 5’9″, 196 lbs at the combine. His speed was on full display in Indianapolis, running a 4.38 40-yard dash, second among RBs.

Blue elected to not do any other athletic testing, and is entering the 2025 Draft as a Junior. He’ll most likely be used as a change of pace back in the NFL who gets schemed touches, outside runs, and mismatched in the passing game against linebackers.

In a loaded running back class, Blue is flying under the radar, but could be drafted earlier than expected by teams looking for a player with speed like his. His overall results from the combine are mixed, as he came in smaller than listed but will still garner attention for his speed from NFL scouts and Fantasy Managers in the coming months.
