Jayden Daniels Magical Rookie Campaign Comes to an End

The Commanders lose 55-23 in a blowout against their division rival Philadelphia Eagles.

The Washington Commanders season comes to an end as they fall to the Philadelphia Eagles 55-23 in the NFC Championship game. While the Eagles are going to their second Super Bowl in 3 years, the Commanders are a franchise with its arrow pointing up.

A huge reason for the Commanders turnaround is franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels has been a supreme talent and was the QB-3 for fantasy in his rookie season. Daniels was 9th in passing yards with 4,135 and 8th in passing touchdowns with 29. His 978 rushing yards were No.2 for quarterbacks. Daniels would most likely have hit the 1,000 yard rushing mark had he not gotten hurt and left early due to injury in week 7 versus the Carolina Panthers.

Heading into the offseason, expect the Commanders to be aggressive in free agency and the NFL draft to acquire more pass-catching weapons as well as add support to their backfield in what is presenting to be a deep rookie running back class. Jayden Daniels has now catapulted himself into the startup 1.01 conversation in superflex dynasty leagues and will be a highly coveted fantasy asset heading into 2025.
