The NFL Scouting Combine is supposed to act as a player’s showcase. It’s a way for a prospective draft pick to show what he can do and increase his draft stock. Even bad players participate. LSU QB Jayden Daniels left early.

Daniels is widely tabbed to be taken in the first 5 picks of the 1st Round of the NFL Draft. He was present in Indy for the combine and was interviewed, but he skipped out on being measured, the drills like 40-yard dash time, and throwing to the wide receivers. Daniels’ will still be a Top 5 pick and we’ll see him at his LSU pro day, but when other players are participating and you aren’t injured, leaving early is not a good look.
