Jake Bobo Playing His Way Onto Roster

Seattle Seahawks UDFA WR Jake Bobo has seen an increased opportunity, and has a real shot to be a key contributor this year.

With the added injuries at wideout, the Seahawks have turned their attention to UDFA Jake Bobo, who ran a 4,99 40 at the UCLA Pro Day, fell to undrafted despite a strong season at UCLA (57 catches, 817 yards, seven touchdowns). It is rather unheard of that receiver with that slow of a sprint speed has a chance to contribute, especially on a team boasting DK Metcalf. Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN) and Tyler Lockett. But with JSN’s injury, the calls for “More Bobo” have started to get louder.

Despite his speed, “he is making plays… everyone sees it” according to running back Kenneth Walker III, after Bobo’s spectacular catch up the seam on a ball from Geno Smith. With JSN out for a few weeks, WR D’wayne Eskridge suspended for the first 6 games, the Seahawks project to involve Bobo right away.
