The Texans brought in former Eagle wide receiver and Houston Cougar Greg Ward Jr for a workout per texans beat writer Aaron Wilson. Ward, a former university of Houston quarterback, was last seen in action for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2021 season where he recorded 7 catches for 95 yards. Ward spent the 2023 season on the Eagles practice squad.

The workout seems like a need for a camp body as teams can have up to 90 players present and competing during training camp.  It has been nearly 3 seasons since Ward’s last game action on an NFL field. Unless the Texans wide receiver room is ravaged by injury, he should not be picked up in any format.
