George Kittle signs a 4-year $76.4 million contract extension with the 49ers.
The San Francisco 49ers are keeping their star tight end George Kittle. Kittle just signed a 4-year $76.4 million contract to stay in the bay area.
With Deebo Samuel exiting via trade to the Washington Commanders, the onus will be on George Kittle to be a primary focal point of the 49ers offense. Kittle has been the TE6 or better in fantasy points per game in each of the last 7 seasons. Kittle will be 32 this season and is showing no signs of slowing down as he posted the No.1 Explosive Rating for tight ends in 2024 with a 149.0 score.
The next natural shift for the 49ers will be to tie up franchise quarterback Brock Purdy. The highwater mark for quarterbacks is currently Dak Prescott who will make $60 million in 2025. In the meantime, George Kittle is the TE3 going off the board on Underdog in round 5.
