Senior standout at Ohio State Emeka Egbuka (WR) has declared for the NFL draft.
6’1” wideout Emeka Egbuka will join a long list of Buckeye wide receivers to enter the NFL Draft. The 4-year senior caught 205 passes for 2868 yards and 24 touchdowns in 49 games at Ohio State. Egbuka finished his 2024 season in which he had 4 games of over 80 yards and 10 total receiving touchdowns by catching 21 passes for 268 yards and 1 Touchdown in 4 games during the College Football Playoffs en route to a National Championship victory over Notre Dame. In another year with plenty of high-end wide receivers, Egbuka looks to compete alongside Tetairoa McMillan and Luther Burden III as three of the top athletes at the position.
Egbuka is a refined route runner with good speed and quickness in short areas. He shows burst after the catch and plays strong through the point of the catch. Due to his relatively smaller frame, he doesn’t profile as a true alpha receiver like you’re hoping to get with Tet, and he doesn’t quite pop on tape like Luther Burden; however, with his already well-defined route tree, Egbuka has the chance to succeed early in his NFL career.
