Packers release former all pro LT David Bakhtiari

The Green Bay Packers have made the decision to release David Bakhtiari, a five-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler, after his 11-season tenure with the team. Despite playing 140 games over those years, Bakhtiari was sidelined for only 13 out of a possible 54 games in the last three seasons due to troubling knee issues.

The Packers’ decision to release him will clear almost $20 million in cap space. Now a free agent, Bakhtiari is open to signing with any team. There’s speculation about a potential reunion with his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, possibly with the New York Jets. However, given his recent injury history, the outcome remains uncertain, and it will be interesting to see how Bakhtiari’s next chapter in the NFL unfolds.
