Darius Slayton remains a Giant with 3-year deal worth up to 36 million dollars.
Darius Slayton was drafted by the New York Giants in 2019 in the 5th round. He had pockets of success while establishing himself as a deep threat, averaging 15 yards per catch for his career.
Slayton and the Giants initially agreed on a two-year extension worth 12 million dollars in 2023 and that contract was fulfilled, leaving Slayton free to test the free agent market in 2025. With free agency tampering opening Monday, he and the Giants agreed to a 3-year, 36-million-dollar deal that keeps him with the Giants through the 2027 season.
Slayton has had spike weeks but never been a reliable asset due to his target variance and poor QB play. He is outside of our top 120 wide receivers in dynasty rankings and remains a dart throw for best ball drafts.
